Today’s editorial is posted as a comment to the linked: Guest commentary: Arab Spring puts religious freedom at risk

Within the theocracy that is the nation of Islam, ‘religious freedom’ is an oxymoron. The very image of Allah and his prophet Muhammad, the Qur’an, dismisses any possibility of such liberating freedoms. “…I am with you, so make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. So smite above the necks and smite every finger-tip of them. And fight with them until there is no more persecution, and all religions are for Allah…” Qur’an 8:12, 39

The magic wand wielded by Barack Hussein Obama was swung upon the pins previously holding firm the Islamic flood-gates. Once pressed through, the gates swung open and the flood known as the Arab Spring covered the entire region. Now, we watch as the flood-waters recede and nation after nation falls into the hands of the Destroyer, al-Mumit. Lost to sectarian violence is Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Egypt, Libya, Sudan (Nubia), Tunisia, Morocco, and Yemen. Soon to be destroyed and reduced to ruins is Damascus. Throughout the region are wars and rumors of wars.

By leaving Iraq, the receding waters are revealing the bed of the great Euphrates. It is across this drying waterway that the consortium of Persia and its hordes will cross on their way to Damascus and Israel. Call it Biblical, call it coincidental but call it what it is; it’s the rise of Muhammad’s marked people. It is his laws (shari’a) they introduce and his calender (A.H.) they follow. Ask the women laying on the Egyptian streets, those of forced virginity checks and beatings, if he, Muhammad, is the one (representative of God) favored by women.

These events were set in motion by a man of great power and ancestry. He was quick to call people into the revolutionary streets but slow to condemn the beating of Egyptian women and the church burnings in Iraq, Egypt, and Nigeria. He is slow to condemn the disintegration of nine years worth of American blood spilled amongst the sand in Iraq but quick to bow to the Saudi Prince. Where is his condemnation of the Saudi’s 77th beheading this year; that of a woman accused of sorcery? Where is his condemnation of the impending hanging of an Iranian woman for the heinous act of immorality (likely that of being raped)?

On the first day of the tenth month, October 21st, the man of ancestry announced to the world that Iraq was up for grabs. We got a glimpse of the future on that day. So, how’s it looking so far?

For those still holding out hope that the Arab Spring was and is anything remotely similar to that which our largely Christian forefathers designed; they can forget it. The laws of Muhammad have little to do with life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and that of our God given freedoms; particularly freedom of religion and the free-will thereof.

Is the ‘religion of peace’ that which allows for freedom of religion? If your answer is ‘Yes’ then you might be remiss by not reading the opening to this commentary again. Then, look to the Middle East and observe the bees emerging from the hive that’s been knocked from the tree and kicked down the road…

Angry aren’t they?
