2011: The year that shook the world

__________

“The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed.” Revelation 16:19 “People from many nations will pass by this city and will ask one another, ‘Why has the Lord done such a thing to this great city?’ And the answer will be: ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God and have worshipped and served other gods.'” Jeremiah 22:8-9

After four thousand years of prophetic history, most men are still deaf and blind. The world looks upon the rebellion of the Islamists in the Middle East and it cheers them on. Muslims occupy the crater that their fellow Allah-followers created in Manhattan and then cry foul for attracting unwanted attention. Ron Paul displays his ignorance of Iran’s Twelvers by calling on his hopeful electoral base to abandon Israel and leave her existential viability to the wolves that surround her and then he asks, “Why don’t we just befriend them (Iran’s Twelvers)?”

Eight in every fifty people on earth bow before a lifeless statue of a woman. They light a candle in prayer and worship the voiceless, motionless idol before them.

Eleven of every fifty people bow to the east in worship of a foreign god; he who is adorned by the moon and stars, idolized in a piece of charred rock, and he who was created by the mumblings of a murderous child molester who called himself ‘Prophet.’

Nine in every fifty look upon an assortment of Ishvaras (personal gods) such as the mother, the child, and of course the little wooden fat guy (Buddha) as their supreme Brahman (god). These are the Avatars of the supreme being; the devas. Yes, the movie Avatar was based upon Hinduism – with the villain dressed as the militaristic American machine in pursuit of the natives and their natural resources. It sounds a little bit like the argument against the war in Iraq. How much oil did America take with it when they pulled out of Iraq ten days ago? The argument is finding new legs. It sounds a lot like the argument against action in Libya and Iran. How much oil do you suppose America will steal from them?

It would seem a bit easier to just pipe it from Canada or Alaska into the lower states. But those regurgitating the old, tired Avatar argument say; “No! Don’t destroy our environment like the Americans did to Avatar’s Na’vi!”

Like the Na’vi; thirteen in every fifty people worship trees, stones, animals, mother earth, people or no god whatsoever.

Three in fifty worship the carving of non-existent golden plates and traditionally created sensationalism and perversions of the Biblical Jesus.

Three in fifty worship the church itself or magical bread and wine as redeeming objects.

Only three in fifty recognize the God of heaven to be represented wholly by the two Testaments of law and grace presented in the Bible. Only three in fifty believe the two Testaments represent the Word; the very image of God.

Being only two-tenths of one percent of the population, inclusion of Israel does not change the percentages. Yet, Israel’s image is that of all men.

Representative of the percentages are those who find themselves aghast by the political incorrectness of pointing out such statistics; be they accurate or not. The only three things that have changed since Jeremiah wrote about men as the ‘great city’ is that the rebellion has occurred, the rebels (by percentage) have become completely wicked (Da 8:23) and Jesus has arrived as ransom for those who believe he was and is the Messiah. There’s little but confirming history as Biblical evidence between the days of Babylonian rule (Jeremiah) and current events. Yet, most men shun history. In the East they have collapsed into the promised lawlessness; they call it Islam. In the West men try to please one-another by excusing one falsehood for another; they call it tolerance.

The favorite phrase of the Catholic Church is that ‘Over a billion people can’t be wrong.’ By that standard, Islam and Muhammad’s foreign god trumps and rules over Catholicism. Men are unwilling to disregard their family traditions, even for a moment, in order to question its foundation and recognize its erroneous adaptation of the truth. Prophetically accurate is the direction offered by Mt 7:13-15 and Lk 13:24: “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

It is understandable to get lost in the volumes of books and in the many traditions of men. It is understandable in our free society to believe, worship and practice traditions in nearly any manner one wishes. Without reading the many volumes written in regard to God or to gods, it is impossible to understand the difference between truth and lies. Without having knowledge of its content, it’s nearly impossible to recognize Biblical prophecy as historical account; the only difference between the two being the time in which it was written. For those who seek Him, the God of heaven can be found within the script he has given us; a script that is unfolding like a screenplay. History is being played out upon the world’s stage – in full view of men.

So, what is truth? It is history…
