With the magical words of a masterful illusionist, Hope & Change has become the modern term for hocus-pocus. There are still the flashes of light and puffs of smoke but the hairy beast being pulled from the magician’s hat is no cute little bunny. Like a fuse in a bomb, the desperate act of self-immolation by a Tunisian man burned its way to the explosive power of an American President who had previously stretched his hand out to the Persian kings while he encouraged uprising in an allied country. The mood had been set. Any and all Muslims looking for hope & change from their oppressors need merely to revolt against their rulers. And somehow, the oppression that stems from 1,400 years of Islamic rule would be magically defeated and replaced by democracy – just like in Iraq.

What a coincidence that the man of mystery has used his hocus-pocus or hope-n-change here at home. He has convinced his audience that the dreamers in America are actually oppressors who are playing an unfair game of monetary keep-away. And to set things right, they need merely step into the streets and revolt. He intimates that the founders of this nation got it wrong. The Constitution is flawed and Congress just gets in the way of progress. He calls on his audience to join in and support a peaceful change. He’s done it before: “For in Egypt, it was the moral force of nonviolence — not terrorism, not mindless killing — but nonviolence, moral force that bent the arc of history toward justice once more.” The ‘moral force that bent the arc of history toward justice’ just elected a parliament that is 75% moderate-right Islamists. The Egyptian military is handing over the reigns of governance to the new incomplete parliament, into the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, because they know chaos comes next. Egypt won’t escape draconian law. Their’s is a future of lawlessness.

The methodical knife of Barack Obama’s tongue has not brought about a new era of good-will but an era of lawlessness. And like a cancer, it spreads. As his arrogant words divide America’s hopeful, civil war and unrest rolls across the Middle East. Bloodshed is so rampant that body counts are not even being taken. Bombs fall from the sky onto the Pakistani Taliban while Joe Biden insists they are not our enemy. It’s lawlessness. Civil war lurks in Sudan, Nigeria, Yemen, Pakistan, Iraq, and Syria while international eyes fall upon the nuclear kings of Persia. With them are the Syrians, Russians, Chinese, Hezbollah, Hamas, and now Iraq. Between them all is Israel. All of these nations gather around that tiny spec of land and its people because of the encouraging, revolutionary tongue of one man; the man of Islamic understanding and ancestry. His answer to every question seems to be; “Revolution and rebellion.”

Revolution is the answer to governmental idiocy – like mortgages for everyone. Revolution is Barack’s answer to the question; “Which is the one true God?” He doesn’t know. He takes all religion ‘with a big dose of doubt.’ If you’re mad at your alcoholic, womanizing father – rebel. If you’re angered by your mother’s abandonment – rebel. Although rejected as a rebellious sellout, Barack Obama continues to choose his his friends carefully, like;

…the self-described communist Van Jones, who became Obama’s Green Jobs Czar

…the unrepentant domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, of whom’s living room Barack Obama launched his political career

… Dahlia Mogahed, Obama’s advisor in the Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships

…Shiek Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the Muslim Brotherhood’s leading jurist. He has just been appointed lead negotiator to mediate between the Unites States and the Taliban – who “is not our enemy” – Joe Biden. There could hardly be a more hands on candidate than Qaradawi; he issued a fatwa (a legal opinion) in 2003 calling for the killing of American troops in Iraq.

…Jeremiah Wright, the Marxist preacher who hates white America.

…Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic Justice appointed to the Supreme Court.

…Michelle Obama and Nanci Pelosi, the structural feminists (those who believe capitalism oppresses women).

In summary, Barack Obama has returned to that which he knows: “To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students (Van Jones). The foreign students (Dahlia Mogahed). The Chicanos (Sonia Sotomayor). The Marxist professors (Jeremiah Wright) and the structural feminists (Nanci Pelosi & Michelle Obama).” Add in a domestic terrorist in Bill Ayers and the Islamic jihadist Shiek Yusuf al-Qaradawi and you have successfully and divisively polarized the political balance. All that remains is to rebel against the people from which you were elected and skirt its overseeing authority by executive decision and recess appointments. The secret to the illusion is lawlessness. No one can keep track of the fury little beast in all of this chaos.

Hocus-pocus, hope-n-change, spend and borrow til the babies age. With these magic words, a flash, and a puff, a vision appears in his verbal fluff.

Everyone wants to believe in the power of the magician. But the debt is real and our country is divided. The eternal hope sprung from the Arab Spring has evolved into a more menacing version of what was there before. The American President all but encouraged Muslim women to remove their veils and use them as capes. The bull they taunted became enraged. Today, North Africa is once again enslaving their women and making them place the capes back over their bodies. And the bull rages upon them.

Hocus-pocus, hope-n-change…
