** Catholics forbid lawful marriage…

“The Lord Jesus insisted on the original intention of the Creator who willed that marriage be indissoluble. He abrogates the accommodations that had slipped into the old Law. Between the baptized, “a ratified and consummated marriage cannot be dissolved by any human power FOR ANY REASON other than death.” – Catechism 2382, p. 632

versus…

“I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, EXCEPT FOR MARITAL UNFAITHFULNESS, and marries another woman commits adultery.” – The Red-Letter Words of the Christ Jesus as per Matthew 19:9

“It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ But I tell you, that anyone who divorces his wife, EXCEPT FOR MARITAL UNFAITHFULNESS, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.” – Matthew 5:31-32

It is often assumed that these and similar verses (Mt 5:32. Lk 16:18) teach that the one who is divorced should not remarry.  In the situations that Jesus dealt with however, He addressed divorce for reasons other than unfaithfulness, such as incompatibility or unhappiness.  The person who was put away was innocent, but often acquired the false stigma of being guilty of moral misconduct.  Jesus apparently accepted that such a person might remarry because He stated in Matthew 5:32 that the spouse who unjustly initiated the divorce caused the innocent one to commit adultery (ie. when they marry someone else).  For this reason, Jesus insisted that the Old Testament provision (Dt 24:1-7) be adhered to; someone who unjustly dismissed an innocent mate ought to clear that person of guilt by providing a bill of divorcement.  Divorce papers issued by a judge in todays society should not be equated with the Old Testament bill of divorcement.  Jesus concerned Himself only with the innocent party and not the one who was merely able to secure a legal divorce.  – NIV Hebrew-Greek Key Word Study Bible, Matthew 19, note 19:3-9, p. 1150

** Catholics teach that their members abstain from certain foods…

U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, Penitential Practices for Today’s Catholics:

“Fridays During Lent — In the United States, the tradition of abstaining from meat on each Friday during Lent is maintained.

“Fridays Throughout the Year — In memory of Christ’s suffering and death, the Church prescribes making each Friday throughout the year a penitential day. All of us are urged to prepare appropriately for that weekly Easter that comes with each Sunday.”

Ash Wednesday, Good Friday

Canon 1251: “Abstinence from eating meat or another food according to the prescriptions of the conference of bishops is to be observed on Fridays throughout the year unless (nisi) they are solemnities; abstinence and fast are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and on the Friday of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Canon 1252: “All persons who have completed their 14th year are bound by the law of abstinence; all adults are bound by the law of fast up to the beginning of their 60th year. Nevertheless, pastors and parents are to see to it that minors who are not bound by the law of fast and abstinence are educated in an authentic sense of penance.” – Catholic.net

Paul warns of Catholicism in 1 Timothy 4:1-4, 7

“The Spirit clearly says that in later times (300 years after Paul wrote this) some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars (priests and popes called “Father”), whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry (as has been proven here) and order them to abstain from certain foods (as has been proven here) which God created to be received with thanksgiving BY THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND WHO KNOW THE TRUTH.” – 1 Timothy 4:1-4

Note: “If you point these things out to the brothers (as I have done here), you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ, brought up in the truths of the Faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.” – 1 Timothy 4:6

“Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives tales (as these catechisms); rather, train yourself to be godly.” – 1 Timothy 4:7

Catholics abandoning the faith is clear and has now been pointed out. Catholicism is the subject of Paul’s warning.

Catholics choose to ignore Jesus’ command of Matthew 23:9

“And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven”

vs.

“The Church, a communion living in the faith of the apostles which she transmits, is the place where we know the Holy Spirit: — in the Tradition, to which the Church Fathers are always timely witnesses” – Catechism of the Catholic Church, canon 688, p. 198

These demon-instituted practices, conjured up in the dark, have now been brought into the light for all to see.
